The World Classics Library series gathers together the work of authors and philosophers whose ideas have stood the test of time. Perfect for bibliophiles, these gorgeous jacketed hardbacks are a wonderful addition to any bookshelf.
The World Classics Library is a new series from Arcturus that brings readers compilations of key works by some of the greatest writers from across the ages. Both fiction and non-fiction are represented in the first eight titles. They include a trio of novels by one of Russia’s master storytellers, Fyodor Dostoevsky; Homer’s great epic poems, The Iliad and The Odyssey; entertaining tales from two of America’s literary giants – Mark Twain and Henry James; and a set of thrilling adventures by the father of science fiction, H. G. Wells.
Among the non-fiction collections on offer, there is a thought-provoking set of works in Eastern Philosophy that offers words of wisdom on everything from the beauty of life to the great stratagems of war and combat; the dialogues of Plato, often considered the founder of Western philosophy; and three influential works from the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
