According to Tom Tivnan, Managing Editor at The Bookseller, the genre has seen remarkable growth over the past few years:

“The 2022 total for Novelty & Activity is £40m greater than where the genre was in 2010—it has more than doubled in value since then.”

So, what’s causing this surge? Tivnan credits the rise in sales to a number of publishers entering the novelty space—including Arcturus—bringing new ideas, creative formats, and accessible content to readers of all ages.
